Love of Kill Anime Reveals Trailer Ahead of 2022 Premiere

Yen Press began releasing the manga series Love of Kill by Fe earlier this year, and it feels like perfect timing because there’s an anime adaptation just around the bend. The Love of Kill anime will come out in 2022, and an English-subtitled trailer has dropped. It’s mostly music and action, but there will be a bit of talking toward the end of the trailer.

The trailer lets us know that Saori Ōnishi will play Chateau Dankworth and Hiro Shimono will play Son Ryang-ha. Looking to the crew, Kei Yoshikawa of Mobile Suit Gundam AGE is working with MIRACLE BUS at Toy’s Factory to compose the music.

Hideaki Oba has been tapped as the director. Ayumu Hisao of Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life is in charge of the scripts. Character design is being done by Youko Satou of Dog & Scissors. All of them have also previously worked together on the anime Dr. Ramune: Mysterious Disease Specialist.

The Love of Kill manga first began coming out in fall of 2015, published by Monthly Comic Gene. The twelfth volume of the manga came out in Japan late last year by Kadokawa, the same company behind the anime. In America, the second volume recently came out. Yen Press gave this description of the first volume:

She’s a professional hitman. And he…is also a professional hitman. And she’s his target. Caught in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse, will she fall first…or will he?

Yen Press also puts the manga series into the subgenre of crime & mystery.

Love of Kill hasn’t yet shared the proposed month or date for its release, and it’s also too early to know which company might pick it up for North American release. Have you checked out the manga, and is this an anime series you’d be interested in watching?
