The second season of the Log Horizon anime—which adapts the novels written by Mamare Touno and illustrated by Kazuhiro Hara—ended back in 2015, leaving fans hanging for years. Now it’s time to celebrate once more, though, because Log Horizon season 3 has officially been announced.
The third season will be titled Log Horizon: Round Table Collapse, and will follow the arc of the same name. This particular story sees the peace established by the Log Horizon guild and others in the land of Akihabara being disturbed once more, as a new species of monster known as Tenwazawai invades the city and has the nobility of the east and west bickering with one another.
This stokes flames of discontent between guilds and ignites a new struggle for power between adventurers. And then, a crisis comes to the Round Table Conference Shiroe had established with all the other adventurers in the name of peace and unity.
Log Horizon season 3 will air on NHK-E in Japan starting this October. Shinji Ishihara will direct, with Toshizo Nemoto on series composition, Shouji Hata as sound director, and Yasuharu Takanashi on music for the Studio DEEN production.
The cast will also be returning from the anime’s second season. Check out the full key visual below.
