Legendary Pictures previously announced plans to produce a live-action Mobile Suit Gundam film for Netflix, with Kong: Skull Island‘s Jordan Vogt-Roberts at the helm. While we’ve yet to get a date for the release, the first piece of concept art has made its way online for a flamin’ hot Mobile Suit tease.
In addition to Vogt-Roberts—who is also lined up to direct the live-action Metal Gear Solid movie—Gundam features a script by Brian K. Vaughan, the comic book author and screenwriter known for series like Y: The Last Man and Saga, who is also serving as an executive producer.
The live-action Mobile Suit Gundam will stream around the world on Netflix except for China, where Legendary Pictures has a theatrical release planned.
