Live-Action JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Movie Teased

As previously revealed, Takashi Miike (Audition, Ichi the Killer, Yatterman) is directing the live-action feature film adaptation of Hirohiko Araki‘s JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part IV: Diamond is Unbreakable, which is currently lined up for a summer 2017 premiere. Fans are understandably eager to see how the story plays out on the big screen, and the official website went live with the first teaser.

Even the term “teaser” is a bit of a stretch for this video, which opts to focus on footage from the original press conference that featured the film’s cast. With that in mind, you shouldn’t get excited for any character visuals, but you can get another look at a few of the cast members below.

The film’s official Twitter got in on the teasing, as well, posting photos from the set in Sitges, Spain, which is intended to recreate the look of the manga’s Morioh-cho location. Check them out below along with translations via Crunchyroll.

“The shooting of the film is now going on steadily in Spain! Morioh-cho is built in the town of Sitges.”

“Spain’s sky is blue and high. As the shooting has passed its middle stage, it’s getting colder.”

“Then we filmed a huge rain scene at the night! Morioh-cho was hit by heavy rain.”

“The town of Sitges surrounded by the sea and green.”

“Zoom-in from a distant view of the town.”

“Morioh-cho Police Station. This place was an optician’s shop till yesterday.”
