The shojo manga about high school girl Hatsumi Narita, which ran from 2000 to 2005, is getting a live-action film adaptation.

The film is due out in Japan June 28, 2019, and today the cast, trailer and poster for the film were revealed.

Hot Gimmick: Girl Meets Boy is the official title of the film. It stars:

Miora Hori as Hatsumi Narita
Shotaro Mamiya as Shinogu Narita
Hiroya Shimizu as Ryoki Tachibana
Mizuki Itagaki as Hiroyuki Yoshino

It’s directed by Yuki Yamato (Drowning Love).

Viz Media released the original Hot Gimmick manga in English. Here’s how they describe it:

Miki Aihara turned the manga world upside down with her salacious, outrageous, and funny hit series. If you think being a teenager is hard, wait until you read Hot Gimmick. Hatsumi’s troubles with school, life, and love are so full of twists and turns, it’ll make your head spin. With more (love) triangles than you can throw a geometry book at, these Tokyo boys and girls are really messed up!
