Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods Anime Reveal Comes with 3 Celebratory Visuals

The light novel series Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods (a.k.a. Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei in Japanese) by Enju is getting an anime adaptation that’s set to premiere next year. We don’t have a trailer yet, but we do have three special visuals.

First off is the official teaser visual from the anime.

Then we have an illustration from ox, the artist for the light novel series. This is to celebrate the anime’s announcement.

Last but not least we have an illustration from Akira Anzai, who did the manga adaptation of Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods. This is likewise meant to mark the anime’s reveal.

So far we don’t have any information on the cast and crew.

The light novels got their start in 2021, when author Enju started uploading them to the site Shōsetsuka ni Narō (translated as “Let’s Be Novelists”). It eventually caught the attention of Japanese company Kadokawa, which then picked up the series and commenced publishing the novels later that year.

Yen Press publishes the original light novels (though not the manga adaptation) and gave this description for the plot:

Kusunoki’s Garden of Gods Plot

Deep in the countryside, Minato Kusunoki is left in charge of a terrifying house overflowing with evil spirits—or at least, it was full until his extraordinary ability cleared them all out! Instead, a procession of unique and peculiar gods is drawn to the comfort of the purified Kusunoki residence, and Minato spends his days relaxing in the company of his spiritual neighbors. What else lies in store for Minato as he lives peacefully surrounded by gods?

So far the first two light novels are available in English, and the third one is scheduled to be released on November 11, 2025. Over in Japan, they’re days away from the 10th light novel being officially released.
