My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON Release Date Revealed with New Visual

A release date is officially in place for My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON, which will wrap up the anime adaptation of Kohei Horikoshi’s superhero saga this fall. The timing has been narrowed down to an October 4 premiere, and you can see the new visual that arrived with the news below.

On top of that, the official accounts announced the launch of an “Ultimate Scene Ranking poll, which tasks fans with voting on their favorite scenes from the series. Votes can be cast on the official site until September 15.

All of the main staff is on-board to reprise their roles for the season. That means Naomi Nakayama is back in the director’s seat, Yōsuke Kuroda is back to supervise the scripts, Yuki Hayashi is back to compose the music, Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima are back to handle character designs, and BONES remains the studio involved.

VIZ Media publishes the original manga by Kohei Horikoshi and gave this description for its plot:

Middle school student Izuku Midoriya wants to be a hero more than anything, but he hasn’t got an ounce of power in him. With no chance of ever getting into the prestigious U.A. High School for budding heroes, his life is looking more and more like a dead end. Then an encounter with All Might, the greatest hero of them all, gives him a chance to change his destiny…

The manga got its start in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014, and it wrapped up last August.
