Kenji Kamiyama’s Eien no 831 Anime Scores Theatrical Release in Japan

The new feature-length original anime by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex), Eien no 831, premiered as Japanese premium satellite station WOWOW’s 30th anniversary project on January 30, and now it’s aiming for the big screen. The official website announced plans for the anime to be screened in 32 theaters across Japan starting on March 18, with more theaters to be added in the future.

There will also be bonus items produced as incentives for theatergoers, with details to be announced as we get closer to release.

Synopsis:

In the present day, the world is in turmoil due to an “unprecedented disaster.” A young man living in Tokyo, Suzushiro, has a secret he cannot tell anyone. That secret is that he can stop the time around him despite his thoughts. One day, he meets a girl named Nazuna who has the same “power”. When he learns that she is being used in a crime, he impulsively reaches out to help her.
