When it comes to Shonen Jump manga, Kaiju No. 8 is one of the more popular ongoing entries, and it’s now also the fastest Shonen Jump+ series to hit the milestone of three million copies in circulation. That covers copies printed physically and sold digitally, so the series is celebrating the achievement with a new illustration by creator Naoya Matsumoto.
Here’s the enthusiastic thank you to fans for all the support since the series’ July 3, 2020 debut on the Shonen Jump+ service.
So far, just three volumes of the series have hit shelves, with a fourth on the way to Japan on September 4. VIZ Media has been simulpubbing Kaiju No. 8 and has the first volume lined up for a Fall 2021 launch. Here’s the publisher’s brief synopsis:
