“Just Wait, Magikarp” Pokétoon Has No Talking, Lots of Cuteness

The Pokémon Company International has come out with a new, truly international Pokémon video with their latest Pokétoon. It’s about seven minutes long, and it doesn’t matter what language you speak, because it has no dialogue. Titled “Just Wait, Magikarp” (or “Mattete ne Koiking” in Japanese), it’s available on YouTube through the Pokémon Kids TV channel.

Cedric Herole directed it as well as being in charge of storyboards, key animation, art design and more. Aimi Tate came up with the story idea, and Studio Colorido is the studio behind it.

Previous videos in this series are “POKÉTOON: Scraggy and Mimikyu,” (which came out last year) and “Pancham Who Aspires to Be a Hero” and “Dreaming Tsubomi,” (both of which came out in 2021).

More Pokétoons like this are scheduled to come.
