Believe it or not, the numbers continue to roll in for JUJUTSU KAISEN 0, which has been opening in more regions since its debut in Japan back in December. While it’s not in the top 10 anymore in its home country, it still managed to pull in ¥22,011,400 this weekend, putting its total to around 13.5 billion in Japan.

That total adds up to about $104 million, and according to the Numbers website its worldwide box office stands at US$183,249,667. Factor in the $2,574,760 from Germany and that pushes the film past Stand By Me Doraemon to become the seventh highest-earning anime film of all time around the world.

So, after this weekend, the global total for the film is $185,993,759.60. The only anime films remaining ahead of it are Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo, your name. and Weathering With You. It also remains the 15th highest-grossing movie of all time in Japan.

VIZ Media published the JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 manga in North America and describes it:

Yuta Okkotsu is a nervous high school student who is suffering from a serious problem—his childhood friend Rika has turned into a Curse and won’t leave him alone. Since Rika is no ordinary Curse, his plight is noticed by Satoru Gojo, a teacher at Jujutsu High, a school where fledgling exorcists learn how to combat Curses. Gojo convinces Yuta to enroll, but can he learn enough in time to confront the Curse that haunts him?

Next up for the series is a second season, which is currently set to premiere in Japan with MAPPA on animation sometime in 2023.
