Otaku USA Magazine
Japanese Fans Rank Anime and Manga’s Best Bands, Musical Groups

Our favorite polling site Charapedia is back at it. This week they asked their readers to rank anime and manga’s best bands or musical groups, and the results are in.

Now, to be clear: these aren’t real-life bands or groups that’ve made music for anime. No, these are the bands or groups that exist in-universe (though in today’s wild media mix world, they may indeed have real life counterparts, like in the case of Love Live!). Anyway, let’s check out the list!

Color us surprised by the order of selections number one and two. Considering how huge Love Live! is now, it’s a tribute to how much folks like K-On! that its Ho-kago Tea Time was able to grab the number one spot after all these years.

Shows with multiple bands or groups on the list: K-On!, Uta no Prince-sama, the Macross and Idolmaster series, and Show by Rock!!.

Bands that totally should’ve made the list but didn’t: Priss and the Replicants, GASP. Look ‘em up.
