What happens when Japan’s Gundam Café collaborates with Namjatown for some new Gundam pilot goods? You get some extremely feline takes on everyone’s favorite Mobile Suit Gundam stars, from a few of the heroes of Gundam Wing to pilots from Gundam 00 and Iron-Blooded Orphans.
The event in question is appropriately titled Gundam Nyite 2020, and it will be held at Ikebukuro’s cat-themed indoor park this fall. Those who pay it a visit will be able to test their knowledge with a ‘guess the quote’ quiz, and special food items like Haro Cake and melon soda will be up for grabs.
As for the merchandise, here’s a sample of what fans of both cat boys and Gundam pilots can look forward to:

The Mobile Suit Gundam saga is no stranger to bizarre collabs, including those of the feline purr-suasion. Take, for instance, the amazing collaboration that recently went down between Gundam and Sanrio mascot Hello Kitty. It even included some awesome animation that tells the story of the battle between these disparate entities and the results that helped bring the world closer to peace.
