Gonzo Asks Fans to “Gonzo at Home” with Free Streaming, More

Gonzo Asks Fans to “Gonzo at Home” with Free Streaming, MoreGolden Week, a series of national holidays, just kicked off in Japan, and many denizens will no doubt be tempted to skirt the country’s voluntary COVID-19 lockdown.

Many companies are offering at-home entertainments in order to keep folks safe and indoors. As of today that includes Gonzo, the studio behind works like Afro Samurai, Akiba’s Trip and Space Battleship Tiramisu.

As part of their “Gonzo at Home” promotion, the studio is streaming Blassreiter and both of its The Tower of Druaga series for free on its YouTube channel. (Unfortunately, the US appears not to be part of the deal.)

Gonzo is also offering up free desktop wallpapers from many of its series, including The Tower of Druaga, Blassreiter, Romeo × Juliet, Witchblade and more.

Finally, the studio is running a contest, asking fans to color in one of two templates from Kaleido Star (either by hand or through digital means), then upload them to Twitter with the hashtag #カレイドスターぬりえ. Winners will have their works featured on a limited-time run of Kaleido Star on YouTube.

This’ll give Gonzo fans something to do over a not-so-golden Golden Week.
