February 7, 2018 Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online, the upcoming Sword Art Online spinoff, has been a bit of a mystery. But today, we’ve finally got our first glimpse of the series in action, and a staff list to boot.
Folks who will be bringing Gun Gale Online to life include:
Director: Masayuki Sakoi (Celestial Method)
Series composition: Yosuke Furoda (My Hero Academia)
Chief animation director/character designer: Yoshio Kosakai (Chaos;hEAd)
Animation studio: Studio 3Hz (Flip Flappers)
The series, which premieres in April, is based on the series of light novels by Keiichi Sigsawa. Here’s how Yen Press describes the story:

Season 3 of the main Sword Art Online anime series will be arriving in October.
