Oh, you thought you’d seen the last of the Gintama anime? Of course not! The series announced plans to continue in the form of a spinoff adaptation that will bring the 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei light novels by Tomohito Osaki to the screen, and we even have a teaser trailer to get us ready for the fun to come.
The 3rd Year Class Z Ginpachi-sensei is just one part of the Gintama 20th anniversary celebration, which will be ongoing between now until 2026. While that’s way more than a year of Gintama projects, the anniversary festivities are dubbing this the Gintama 20th Anniversary Year, so yeah, sounds about right for Hideaki Sorachi’s series.
