Funimation filled its Otakon panel this weekend with announcements for both streaming and home video. First up for the former is Monster Hunter Stories, which is coming to FunimationNow this October.

Funimation also announced a handful of new home video release plans during its Otakon panel, including BONES’ 2007 anime film Sword of the Stranger. If you read our recent feature on BONES in Anime USA, you’ll probably remember Daryl Surat mentioning how woefully out of print it was. Thankfully that’s no longer the case, and Funimation plans to release the movie on Blu-ray and DVD on November 8.
Also due out in November are 2010’s Omamori Himari, based on the comedy manga by Milan Matra, and 2007’s Good Luck! Ninomiya-kun, a romantic comedy based on the light novel series written by Daisuke Suzuki and illustrated by Kyourin Takanae.
A November 8 DVD release is planned for Omamori Himari, with Good Luck! Ninomiya-kun to follow with its own DVD-only release on November 22.
Other acquisitions included Psychic School Wars, out on Blu-ray/DVD November 1, and Funimation also threw in some English dub cast info for Overlord and the live-action Kenshin movies.
Here’s the November release slate:
