Fullmetal Alchemist Creator Hiromu Arakawa Launches New Manga

Fullmetal Alchemist Creator Hiromu Arakawa Launches New MangaThere’s a new manga from the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist in the works.

The manga from Hiromu Arakawa is “coming soon” to the pages of Monthly Shonen Gangan.

No title yet, but we do have a teaser image featuring some kind of adventurer, someone locked away, and a couple beast men up top. Looking forward to seeing what Arakawa has thought up this time.

Meanwhile, Fullmetal Alchemist turns 20 this year, and Japan is celebrating with art exhibitions, live streams, a commemorative book and more.

Here’s how Viz describes FMA:

In an alchemical ritual gone wrong, Edward Elric lost his arm and his leg, and his brother Alphonse became nothing but a soul in a suit of armor. Equipped with mechanical “auto-mail” limbs, Edward becomes a state alchemist, seeking the one thing that can restore his and his brother’s bodies…the legendary Philosopher’s Stone.
