It’s always a good feeling when your favorite anime comes back for another round. And while we can’t wait for the crop of new and exciting spring anime coming our way next month, we’re also happy to see some familiar faces in the line-up. And in some cases, it’s a three-fer!
This month, catch up on this trio of anime, all of which are coming back for their third seasons. Which ones are you most excited for?
Laid-Back Camp
Rejoice, for the spring anime season promises to be full of beautiful views and laid-back camping. After two seasons, spinoffs, and a movie, Laid-Back Camp will be coming back for a third season. Rin, Nadeshiko, and all the rest will be back on our screens starting April 4, with new episodes adapted from Afro’s popular manga.
As it happens, one of the stories covered in season 3 is Afro’s favorite! The manga artist cites chapter 59, “Death Road,” as a personal favorite. Taking place during Rin and Nadeshiko’s Oi River trip, the pair must brave a rough road and will make a stop at Shirakabaso Onsen. You’ve got just over a month to catch up, so dive into this relaxing series and get prepared!
Sound! Euphonium
KyoAni’s much-loved Sound! Euphonium will be back to make more music in the spring anime season, too. The new season will tackle the 2019 light novel installment titled The Kitauji HS Concert Band’s Decisive Final Movement. And joining the group will be a new face: Mayu Kuroe, a third-year transfer student voiced by Haruka Tomatsu.
The new season starts April 7, and will (it seems) ring down the curtain on Kumiko’s high school story. Want to get caught up before then? There are two seasons plus multiple movies, so you have a month of music to enjoy before season 3 begins!
KONOSUBA – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!
Kazuma Sato’s fantasy adventures carry on in the spring anime season, too! After two seasons, a movie, and a Megumin-focused spinoff, KONOSUBA proper will be back for season 3. And while the new season’s trailer had an extremely nostalgic-sounding voiceover from Kazuma himself, we’re relatively sure his motley crew of adventuring buddies will be as chaotic as ever.
Fans of the light novels are theorizing that the new season will adapt volumes 6 and 7, which could see a rift forming amongst the group. At the same time, we might see more progress with the relationship between Kazuma and Megumin. We’ll know for sure when KONOSUBA season 3 explodes into the world next month!
Speaking of returning shows, here are our hopes for Pokémon Concierge!
