Originally announced back in July 2023, the A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics anime now has a premiere date. The adaptation of the light novel series written by Yomi Hirasaka and illustrated by Kantoku will kick off on TV in Japan on April 4, 2024, and a new trailer is here along with theme song info and more cast members.

Here’s the new trailer:

The latest voice actors to join the cast are Yoji Ueda as Ichio Kusanagi, Shinnosuke Tachibana as Takeo and Kosuke Toriumi as Suzuki. The opening theme song will be “Gifu ni Ted” by WANUKA and the ending theme song will be “Konban no Kenka” by Meiyo Densetsu.

The plot of A Salad Bowl of Eccentrics goes something like this:

Sosuke Kaburaya, a poor detective, meets Sara, a magical princess from another world, while following her.

Sosuke begins to live together with Sara, but she quickly adjusts to modern Japan. Meanwhile, Livia, a female knight who has moved to the same world as Sara, finds herself homeless, but surprisingly enjoys her life.

These two otherworldly people, who are living a positive and strong life, have an impact on Sosuke and the other oddballs living here, including a devilish lawyer, a divorce agent, and a religious leader.

A manga adaptation of the light novels by Kotaro Yamada (Sword Art Online: Project Alicization) started in September 2022, and there are now two volumes available in Japan.
