Fairy Tail Manga to End After Two More Volumes

Fairy Tail creator Hiro Mashima is ready to move on.

That’s the word from the writer and illustrator himself, who revealed in the notes section of the latest volume of Fairy Tail that he plans to finish the series in two more volumes.

That means the manga, which Mashima began in 2006, will span 63 volumes in total.

Final Fantasy XV enthusiast Mashima also revealed he is working on a new manga set in a different world than that of Fairy Tail.

Fairy Tail, which has spawned multiple anime adaptations, including Dragon Cry, which opened in Japan this weekend, has over 60 million copies in print.

Here’s looking forward to the conclusion – and to whatever Mashima-sensei cooks up next.
