The official Twitter account for the latest adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s manga revealed some sad news this weekend, with the announcement that EDENS ZERO anime director Yushi Suzuki is no longer with us. According to the series’s website, Suzuki was in a Tokyo-area hospital when he suddenly passed away on September 9.
Also known as Yuji Suzuki professionally, the director has showcased his skills through key animation and storyboard work, as well. Some of the projects he has contributed to include Fairy Tail, STAR DRIVE, Space Brothers, and many more.
The official site expressed the grief everyone involved in the production is experiencing over losing a beloved colleague.
