Dragonball: Evolution Double Whammy

I’ve been holding back, it’s true. It’s taken every ounce of restraint within me not to post every single miniscule update about Fox’s Dragon Ball movie, from Goku in his monster form to the first of the really grainy bootleg teasers. As you may have guessed by now, the time for restraint has passed, and I can no longer be counted on to clutch these tidbits tightly.

But now the whole world has been devoured—in good ways and bad ways depending on personal perspective—by the trailer for what is now known as Dragonball: Evolution. I’ve seen tears of laughter, dismay AND joy ‘cross the Internet, sometimes all at once, so take a second to let us know how you think the movie is shaping up. Hey, at least they digitally colored Piccolo green.

In related news, it’s been announced that pop megastar Ayumi Hamasaki will be singing the theme song for James Wong’s film. The name of the song is “Rule,” and it will be used along with the film in over 60 countries. Turns out Wong is a really big Hamasaki fan, and in turn, she’s a big Dragon Ball fan. Sounds like a match made in heaven!
