demon slayer season 2

If you were wondering what’s up with the start date for Demon Slayer season 2, we now know exactly what to expect from the continuation. While it was previously announced that season 2 will cover the Entertainment District arc later this year, prior to that we’re getting an episodic version of the Mugen Train arc, as seen in the record-smashing theatrical outing, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train Arc will make its broadcast debut in Japan on October 10, and will feature six re-edited episodes with new BGM and a never-before-seen first episode that has Kyojuro Rengoku taking on a new mission en route to the Mugen Train. The seven-episode arc will have LiSA back on board to perform OP theme “Akeboshi” and ED theme “Shirogane.”

Once that’s wrapped, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc will follow starting on December 5. A new 1-hour special will kick it all off, with Aimer on the “Zankyosanka” OP theme and the “Asa ga kuru” ED.

All of Demon Slayer season 2 will be available as a simulcast via Crunchyroll and Funimation.
