Dance Dance Revolution Hollywood Film in Development

Dance Dance Revolution Hollywood Film in DevelopmentBust out those dance pads, folks. Believe it or not, a feature film based on video game Dance Dance Revolution is in development.

The film, being produced at production label Stampede is about “a world on the brink of destruction where the only hope is to unite through the universal language of dance,” reports Deadline Hollywood.

And your mom said all those hours spent on the DDR machine were for nothing.

The film under the guiding wing of Cara Fano, who previously worked on the post-production team of Gold, starring Matthew McConaughey.

Dance Dance Revolution is, of course, the series of Konami video games in which you step in time to music on a pressure-sensitive pad. The game debuted in 1998 in Japan, and the latest incarnation was released in 2016.

We are really, really looking forward to seeing how the heck this one turns out.
