Crunchyroll Adds Toriko Anime to Lineup

It looks like Crunchyroll is going for the gold when it comes to popular shonen anime adaptations. The latest of the big ones to join its streaming lineup is none other than Toriko, based on the manga by Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro.

Toei Animation’s series is set to kick off its weekly broadcast starting Monday at 10:00am Pacific Time. It begins for both premium and free members with episode 130, and previous episodes will be made available at a later date. For future reference, here’s Toriko‘s page on Crunchyroll.

Territories in which Toriko will be available include the United States, Canada, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America (Central and South America including Caribbean).

Crunchyroll sums up the show:

“In a world where the taste and texture of food is extremely important, individuals known as Bishoku-ya, specialize in the acquisition of rare ingredients and animals. Our protagonist, Toriko, possesses incredible strength and knowledge of the animal kingdom in order to fulfill his dream to capture the most precious foods in the world and create the ultimate dinner course. He is currently accompanied by a weak and timid chef who, inspired by Toriko’s ambition, travels with him to improve his culinary skills and find rare ingredients.”
