Last year saw the crowdfunding efforts succeed for KURAYUKABA, a steampunk detective anime short that just debuted the results of the campaign. With the pilot film now available for all to see, it’s time to look to the future, and that future includes plans for an expanded, 40-minute film version of the anime
The new campaign is live on the Motion Gallery website, where it hopes to pull in 20 million yen (about $187,000) to make the project a reality. Shigeyoshi Tsukahara is directing KURAYUKABA, with Kazunori Minagawa on character designs and planning by Twin Engine.
