Concluded Gintama Manga to Continue in Free App

Remember when Shueisha said the 77th collected volume of Hideaki Sorachi‘s manga would be its last? Well, according to this year’s winter issue of Jump Giga magazine, that’s not quite the case. Thanks to a free Gintama app, the manga will apparently continue in a digital format.
Gintama ended its regular Shonen Jump run in September of last year, but was quickly followed up with a continuation in the pages of Jump Giga for three consecutive issues. If it all sounds like Sorachi goofing around as usual, it probably is, and it’s a very Gintama way to handle the neverending conclusion of the series itself.
The 77th volume of Gintama is set to launch in Japan this spring.
