The broadcast debut of Comet Lucifer—an original TV anime with Yasuhito Kikuchi (Infinite Stratos, Macross Frontier) as director and Atsushi Nakayama (Sekirei, Absolute Duo) as series director at 8-Bit—has officially been locked down. The series is set for an October 4 premiere on Tokyo MX, with an airing to follow on KBS Kyoto later that day. Sun TV and BS-11 will be close behind with broadcasts on October 6.
Comet Lucifer kicks off when Sougo Amagi, a young boy who lives in a mining town in the world of Gift, ventures deep into mine ruins and discovers an underground lake. It’s there that he meets a mysterious girl named Felia and kicks off a new adventure.
Bandai Visual is promoting the series with a music video featuring fhána’s “Cosmos no You ni” (“In the Cosmos”) song.
