Shanghai’s life-size Freedom Gundam statue had its official opening ceremony on May 28. A video about it has been streamed. The video does not contain English subtitles. It includes interviews, some footage on the statue being made, and then scenes from the opening ceremony itself.
The ceremony was also where plans were revealed for the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Project ignited initiative. The initiative will have multiple projects and includes a sequel film to the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed anime.
The Gundam franchise took this opportunity to release a video teasing us about the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Eclipse side-story manga. This time the video is written in English. The manga in question will debut this July.
