The Cells at Work! manga series is almost over. Its last chapter will be in the next issue of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius, which becomes available in late January. The final manga — volume six — will be released in Japan just afterward, on February 9.
So what will Red Blood Cell and White Blood Cell have to deal with during their conclusion? You guessed it. As many would consider fitting, the last chapter will revolve around COVID-19.
Cells at Work!!, the second season of the anime adaptation, will air next month, as will the anime Cells at Work! Code Black, based off one of the spinoff series.
