Mobile games come and go, and the latest to do the latter is Case Closed Runner: Race to the Truth. Also known in Japan and elsewhere as Detective Conan Runner, the game launched in Japan in April of 2019, followed by North America a couple months after. Now, service will officially end on October 30.
For those unfamiliar, Case Closed Runner is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. Players dash along in an endless runner side-scroller based on Gosho Aoyama’s series, with the game occasionally dipping into new art and special events. Here’s a trailer from the time of launch:
To commemorate the case truly being closed, Case Closed Runner will re-run some popular events in the weeks leading up to its send-off. As of now, in-game purchases have been deactivated, and the servers won’t be accessible on October 30 at 3:00 UTC.
