We finally have an official title and villain confirmation for the hotly-anticipated Dragon Ball Super anime film. Set to open in Japan on December 14, the 20th Dragon Ball film is called Dragon Ball Super: Broly, which should shed some light on who our Saiyan heroes will be facing.
The new poster visual features the tagline, “The greatest enemy, Saiyan.” Check it out along with a closer look at the logo below, and drum up some hype for yet another showdown against Broly.
Series creator Akira Toriyama is handling the screenplay and character designs. Here’s what he had to say about it:
“Everyone, do you know Broly? He is an excessively strong Saiyan who appeared only in the past anime films, and it seemed I worked on only his design. But I was rarely involved in anime production at that time, so I have totally forgotten about the films’ contents. I have heard Broly is still very popular not only in Japan but worldwide. For that reason, my responsible editor suggested to me, ‘How about featuring Broly in the next film?’ After watching the films of that period, I felt it could be very interesting depending on arrangements, then wrote a story including him in the Dragon Ball Super series.”
