Boruto Anime to Kick Off with Original Story

The adventures of Naruto’s son begin on TV when the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime premieres this April, and some new information surfaced out of the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. According to this year’s ninth issue, the Boruto anime will kick things off with an original story that doesn’t appear in Ukyō Kodachi and Mikie Ikemoto’s manga.

The manga, which has been adapting the Boruto -Naruto the Movie- anime film up to this point, originally launched last May. Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto commented on the Studio Pierrot-animated project during December’s Jump Festa, saying he plans “to make it even better than Naruto.”
