Last month saw the BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, So I’ll Max Out My Defense anime delay its second season episodes due to the effects of COVID-19. At the time, timing had yet to be updated for episodes 11 and 12, but now we finally know when to expect them.
According to the official accounts, episode 11 of BOFURI season 2 will air on April 12 at 11:30pm Japan Time, followed by episode 12 on April 19 at 27:30, which is effectively April 20 at 3:30am. The new dates came after reviewing the production and were decided upon to “maintain the quality of the main story.”
BOFURI season 2 has director Shin Oonuma (WATAMOTE) returning along with series composition writer Fumihiko Shimo, character designer Kazuya Hirata and other season 1 staff members. The light novels are available via Yen Press. Crunchyroll currently streams the BOFURI anime—with the second season having kicked off on January 11—and describes it as such:
She may be new to gaming, but Maple has found the secret to invincibility! Just put all your skill points into defense until you can’t even move. That works, right? She doesn’t want to experience any pain in the VRMMO game she started playing, and somehow it works better than anyone expected. Now she’s got followers??
