Another anime series is seeing delays due to the effects of COVID-19, and this time it’s BOFURI: I Don’t Want to get Hurt, So I’ll Max Out My Defense. Based on the light novel series written by Yuumikan and illustrated by Koin, the anime adaptation’s official website announced that the seventh episode will be delayed by two weeks.

Episode 7 is now scheduled to air in Japan on March 8, and in the meantime the first and second episodes will re-air on February 22 and March 1, respectively. At the time of this writing, episodes 8-10 are still scheduled to air weekly, with the broadcast schedules for episodes 11 and 12 to be revealed at a later time.

BOFURI season 2 has director Shin Oonuma (WATAMOTE) returning along with series composition writer Fumihiko Shimo, character designer Kazuya Hirata and other season 1 staff members. The light novels are available via Yen Press. Crunchyroll currently streams the BOFURI anime—with the second season having kicked off on January 11—and describes it as such:

She may be new to gaming, but Maple has found the secret to invincibility! Just put all your skill points into defense until you can’t even move. That works, right? She doesn’t want to experience any pain in the VRMMO game she started playing, and somehow it works better than anyone expected. Now she’s got followers??
