BL Manga Given Receiving Live-Action Series, OAD

The BL manga Given is licensed in America by SuBLime, and it’s already received both an anime and film adaptation. But the franchise isn’t over yet — it was just disclosed that Given will receive a live-action series as well as a new original anime disc (OAD).

The original anime disc will be called Given: Uragawa no Sonzai (translated as Given: The One on the Flip-Side) and it will involve Mafuyu and Ritsuka during the movie’s timeline. It will become available in December in Japan, when it will be sold with a limited edition of the seventh volume of the manga.

The live-action series, meanwhile, will consist of six episodes and will first be available on the Fuji TV on Demand streaming platform this July 17. Jin Suzuki plays Ritsuka Uenoyama, Sanari plays Mafuyu Sato, Kai Inowaki plays Akihiko Kaji, and Shuntaro Yanagi plays Haruki Nakayama.
