There are a lot of ways you could spend Valentine’s Day, but would any possibly be as romantic as checking in with Guts? Fans of the late Kentaro Miura’s Berserk manga will be able to do just that, as the series has plans to return to the pages of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine with what will be its first new chapter in four months on February 14.

Berserk most recently went on hiatus on November 8, 2024. The series is currently being produced through Miura’s Studio Gaga, with lifelong friend Kouji Mori credited as supervisor. The most recent collected volume is 42, which hit shelves in Japan in September 2023, with an English release through Dark Horse set for this March.

Here’s how Dark Horse describes the series:

Berserk Plot

Created by Kentaro Miura, Berserk is manga mayhem to the extreme—violent, horrifying, and mercilessly funny—and the wellspring for the internationally popular anime series. Not for the squeamish or the easily offended, Berserk asks for no quarter—and offers none. Proudly presented in the original Japanese right-to-left format, this is one X-rated thrill ride you have to see for yourself!
