A few years ago, Attack on Titan author Hajime Isayama said he was aiming to end the manga in roughly three years, and his editor echoed a similar statement. Isayama will be appearing on an episode of MBS’ Jounetsu Tairiku documentary show this Sunday, and from the teasers it sounds like he’s getting pretty close to his original conclusion plan.
The official Twitter account for the program teased the episode by mentioning the fact that Attack on Titan is about to enter its final story arc. You can see a video teaser for the episode and the tweet in question below.

Attack on Titan first kicked off in the pages of Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine back in 2009, and it’s up to 26 collected volumes in Japan. As for what preceded that, check out our previous post about Isayama’s original submission he drew when he was only 19 years old.
