The Atelier Ryza anime—which is based on Koei Tecmo and Gust’s Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout RPG—previously announced plans to premiere in Japan on July 1. As revealed via a livestream for the series, when it makes its debut it will do so with a one-hour special.

Here’s a preview from last month:

The Atelier Ryza anime is set to premiere on July 1 with Ema Yuzuriha directing and Yashichiro Takahashi returning from the games to oversee scripts at LIDEN FILMS. Newly announced staff members include sub-character designers Mariko Fujita and Kodai Kitahara, art director Teru Sekiguchi, editor Kiyomi Yamada, monster designer Aya Akizuki and more.

The latest entry in the series, Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, just launched on consoles and PC in the west, and you’ll be able to read our review in an upcoming issue of Otaku USA magazine, so stay tuned!
