American Release Dates for Ghibli’s Earwig and the Witch Revealed

Studio Ghibli’s latest movie, Earwig and the Witch, debuted on Japanese TV last month. But it won’t be much longer before Americans get the opportunity to see it.

According to GKIDS, Earwig and the Witch will hit U.S. theaters February 3. It will be aired at Fathom Events and independent theaters, and this allows for Oscar qualification. The movie will be available both subtitled and dubbed.

If you’re not keen on going to the movies during COVID-19, there is an option to watch at home. Two days later, on February 5, Earwig and the Witch will become available on HBO Max, joining the Ghibli library there.
