Akiba’s Trip The Animation Gets First Trailer

Akiba’s Trip, the popular video game series about stripping zombies down to their skivvies in otaku mecca Akihabara is heading to an animated screen near you, and we’ve got the first action-packed trailer to prove it.

Akiba’s Trip The Animation, which is being animated at Gonzo, will premiere January 4, 2017. The cast looks like this:

Haruki Ishiya (Shuichi, Sound! Euphonium) as Tamotsu Denkigai
Rie Takahashi (Megumin, KonoSuba) as Matome Manseika
Marika Kono (Rin, Seiyu’s Life) as Niwaka Denkigai
Yuki Nagaku (Ichigo, Seiyu’s Life) as Arisa Ahokainen

The series will be directed by Hiroshi Ikehata (Seiyu’s Life) and written by Kazuho Hyodo (ReLIFE). Character designs will be provided by Hajime Mitsuda, who appears to be making his debut as a character designer, but is a veteran key animator.

Anyone who’s spent time prowling the streets of Akiba, either in real life or the Akiba’s Trip games, will spot some iconic locations in this trailer.

Looking forward to hitting the streets of Akiba with Gonzo in January?
