The upcoming movie Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -Deai no Kiseki!- (translated as Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -The Miracle of Encounters!-), has dropped its very first trailer, and it’s a musical one. The movie is a mashup of the Akari generation of Aikatsu! and the PriPara franchise. In this trailer you can hear part of the main theme song “Happy Tuning” being performed by Ruka Endō, Rie Fujishiro, Miki Mirai, Himika Akenaya, Yū Serizawa, and Miyu Kubota.

Aikatsu! x PriPara THE MOVIE -The Miracle of Encounters!- is being made at BN Pictures, with Takahiro Ōkawa, an episode director for Aikatsu Friends! ~Kagayaki no Jewel~, helming the project as director. The movie’s scenario was penned by Michihiro Tsuchiya, who is known for working on Cinderella Boy and Kaleido Star. Distribution is being handled by both Bandai Namco Pictures and Avex Pictures.
The movie, which is slated to release in Japan on October 10, has been described as a 10th anniversary “dream project” because both idol franchises involved got their start in 2014.
