November 17, 2010 In case you haven’t heard yet, Funimation recently teamed up with NYC-based distributor GKIDS to submit Summer Wars for consideration by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Yep, that means Mamoru Hosoda’s film is going to be trying for some Oscar magic in the Animated Feature Film category, and with it comes a fresh slew of theatrical dates. The submitted version of the film features the English dub track, and will begin its initial run across US theaters in New York’s IFC Center on November 20.
Beyond that, we have the starter dates and cities in which you’ll be getting the opportunity to view Summer Wars below:
