My Hero Academia Season Two Gets Greenlight

A second season of anime My Hero Academia is on the way, according to a blink-and-miss-it line of text in Weekly Shonen Jump.

The first season of My Hero Academia, which wraps up this week, numbers 13 episodes and is based on a manga series by Kohei Horikoshi that’s been serialized in Jump since 2014.

The series concerns a boy named Izuku Midoriya, who was born without superpowers in a world where most everyone else is. Despite his lack of powers, he’s scouted by the world’s greatest hero and enrolls in a high school for heroes – a hero academy, if you will.

If you’re bummed out that this week’s episode of Academia is the last – don’t be, because it isn’t! Hooray!

Big announcement, tiny text.
