Record of Ragnarok season 3 is on the way this December, and the latest update is here to let us know who’s performing the ending song. The honors this time around go to voice actor Saori Hayami (Shinobu in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba), who celebrates her 10th anniversary as an artist with “Last breath, Last record.”
The song’s single will also arrive in December. Here’s what Hayami had to say about the song:
The quiet tension when facing battle.
The urge welling up deep within their chest.
The determination to move forward no matter what the circumstances.
Reeling those images, we created the most intense song in my career.
Strength and delicacy. In the midst of that turmoil, I sang with my eyes fixed on the front.
May we resonate with the heart that faces something.

The popular and sometimes controversial anime series got its start in 2021, with the second season following in 2023. This new season is being made at Yumeta Company × Maru Animation, with Koichi Hatsumi of Tokyo Revengers and Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown helming the project as director. The main writer is Yasuyuki Muto, known for working on Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway and Tokyo Revengers.
The original manga, which was created by Shinya Umemura, Azychika, and Takumi Fukui, is available in English through VIZ Media and the digital app Mangamo. Mangamo gave this description of Record of Ragnarok:
Record of Ragnarok Plot
“Once every millennium, the gods hold a council to decide the fate of mankind. Finally fed up with mankind’s unceasing wars and destruction of the environment, the gods have decided the end of mankind, when a single Valkyrie, Brunhild, proposes Ragnarok, a best-of-thirteen tournament between gods and mortals. As the 13 gods of different mythologies and religions engage in duels with 13 central figures in the history of mankind, will humans finally be doomed to eternal annihilation”.
