Berserk’s Guts Goes Cute for New Berserker Armor Figure

Berserk’s Guts Goes Cute for New Berserker Armor FigureWhen I think of the late great Kentaro Miura’s dark fantasy epic Berserk, “cute” is not the first word that pops into mind. But this new Guts figure from the brand Cutie1 might just change that.

The figure, which depicts Guts in cute-ified style in his Berserker Armor (Phase 0), has just been revealed. It ships in November, but you can already put in a preorder. It goes for 6,160 yen, or $41 with the current exchange rate.

Berserk is currently being produced through Miura’s Studio Gaga, with lifelong friend Kouji Mori credited as supervisor. It returned from hiatus on February 14.

In case you are unaware, here’s how Discotek describes Berserk:

There are very few brave or even foolish enough to stand against the demons who rule the realm with an iron fist. One such soul is the Black Swordsman-Guts. Hunted by ghosts and wielding a weapon much too big to be called a sword, the imposing mountain of a man is feared by demons far and wide. After an encounter with a cursed relic from his past, Guts looks back to his demon-free days fighting alongside the ranks of the Band of the Hawk and their charismatic leader-Griffith.
