After starting out as a web anime, Avex Pictures and Tatsunoko Production’s Pole Princess!! pole dancing anime is getting ready to head to the big screen. A new trailer made its way online this week, showing off more of the feature and revealing plans for a November 23, 2023 opening in Japan.

In the Pole Princess!! movie, protagonist Hinano Hoshikita and her friends aim to compete as the Galaxy Princesses at the Pole Dance Japan Cup. They’ll be up against four-time champion team Aile d’Ange. Rio Tsuchiya is in the lead as Hinano, and other cast members include Anna Suzuki as Lilia Saijo, Yui Ogura as Mio Tousaka, Minami Hinata as Subaru Nanyo, Yoshino Nanjo as Yukari Mikoshiro, Rina Hidaka as Sana Murafuji, Saori Hayami as Noa Aoi and Rie Kugimiya as Azumi Shino.
The Pole Princess!! anime is directed by Hitomi Ezoe (episodes of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure), with Touko Machida (Wake Up, Girls!) on the scripts and tomari (PriPara) handling character designs.
