The final chapter of the Girlfriend, Girlfriend manga was just published in Japan in May 2023, and while that journey may have ended it’s now time to look ahead to Girlfriend, Girlfriend season 2. The anime is set to return to the airwaves as part of the Animeism block on Mainichi Broadcast System/Tokyo Broadcasting System/BS-TBS, and a new teaser trailer and visual have arrived to preview the continuation.
Girlfriend, Girlfriend Season 2 sports a new staff and studio, including Takatoshi Suzuki as the new director at Synergy SP. Keiichiro Ochi is returning on scripts, with Kazuhiko Inukai on character designs.
