A launch date and title have been set for the next manga from Inoue, the creator behind The Duke of Death and His Maid. The author’s next series will be titled Kimi no Katana ga Oreru Made – Tsukimiya Matsuri no Koigataki—or Until Your Sword Breaks – Matsuri Tsukimiya’s Romantic Troubles—and it’s set to launch via Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry on May 9.
You can check out a piece of art for the series, which will be an Edo-based romantic comedy set during the Bakumatsu period, below.
The Duke of Death and His Maid launched in Sunday Webry in October 2017 and ran until May 2022, ultimately collected in 16 volumes. It previously inspired a TV anime that has a second season on the way this July. Crunchyroll streams the anime and describes the story succinctly:
Due to a childhood curse, anything that the Duke touches will die, which makes his flirty maid’s behavior all the more shocking!
